Artesian spring water and mineral spring water are both types of natural spring water, but they differ in their sources and composition. Artesian spring water comes from a well that taps into an underground aquifer, typically at a higher elevation, where the water is under pressure. This hydrostatic pressure causes the water to rise to the surface without the need for pumping.

On the other hand, mineral spring water also originates from underground sources, but it contains a higher mineral content making the TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) higher creating a more harder water than compared to artesian spring water with a lesser mineral content. These minerals, such as calcium, magnesium, and potassium, are naturally present in the water due to the geological formations it passes through before reaching the spring.

In summary, the main difference between artesian spring water and mineral spring water lies in their sources from which they come from and the mineral content. Artesian spring water comes from an underground aquifer under pressure, while mineral spring water has a higher mineral content due to the geological formations it passes through.

No, there is not any fluoride found or added to Family Springs Natural Artesian Alkaline Spring Water! Although fluoride is a natural occurring element found within the earth. Rest assure that no fluoride has been found within the the content of the soil from which the our natural spring water is sourced from and none has been added by the bottling plant.

Because our bottled water source is not local the cost for refills are factored into our subscription price. In order to refill your bottles we must gather as many as possible before we travel back to the bottling plant in Berkeley Springs, WV for them to be washed cleaned, disinfected and refilled from the natural spring water source. This process greatly reduces the amount of cross contamination from house hold to house hold and guarantees sealed freshness every time directly from the source. We highly promote the return of our bottles because it keeps the cost down and reduces the amount of waste.

An artesian spring is a type of spring that occurs when groundwater under pressure flows to the surface through a natural opening in the ground. This pressure is caused by the water being confined between two layers of impermeable rock, which creates an underground reservoir.

When the water reaches the surface through the opening, it can form a natural artesian spring. This type of spring is characterized by a steady flow of water that is typically clear and pure, as it has been naturally filtered by the surrounding rock and soil.

Artesian springs are often found in areas with high levels of underground water, such as near mountains or in regions with significant rainfall. They are considered to be a valuable source of fresh water, and many people prefer to drink artesian spring water because of its purity and taste.
